Sebastian is on the at-risk list due to medical reasons. Sebastian is an adult neutered cat that is underweight, has diarrhea and is in poor general condition. He is fearful and not eating in the shelter. He will need a low-stress environment and continued medical care and diagnostics once placed to help him recover and gain weight.

Chocolate
|
Chocolate is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Chocolate has been observed to initially be fearful with handlers noted to have a tense body, tucked tail and begins to seek exit. AFter warming up to handlers Chocolate is receptive to treats. During his stay in the care center Chocolate has been observed to pull hard and vocalize when seeing another dog while on leash. One time when seeing another dog Chocolate spun towards the handler and bit their treat bag and pants. Medically Chocolate has a superficial mass on his left ear.

|
Peanut is at risk due to behavior concerns. Peanut was brought in as a stray and arrived at the precinct muzzled. He was highly fearful, growling and hard barking. During his stay, Peanut has remained fearful, allowing only limited handling. However, he will briefly interact and accept treats from staff when they move at his pace. Medically, Peanut is overweight.

|
London is at risk due to behavioral reasons. London's previous owner reported her to be on leash reactive towards dogs and strangers, as she will hard bark, growl, retreat, and pull very hard. In care, London has been observed to baulk and thrash on leash when returning to the building and when reentering. Even though she has improved in handleability during her stay, she continues to have a tense body, pants, paces, and seeks exit while on walks. Medically, London has CRDC.

|
Pancake is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Pancake has a multiple bite history. Pancake is noted to escalate to biting when startled and when someone is too close to their face. Most of the bites have resulted in broken skin. Due to the multiple bite incidents Panther is not being handled by staff. In kennel Pancake is observed to have a neutral body and interact with enrichment. Medically Pancake has CIRDC and is overweight.

Shiloh
|
Shiloh is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Shiloh initially presented as timid in care but warmed up quickly with a slow approach, soliciting attention and petting. He was returned by his adopter due to bite incidents that occurred in the home. One bite did break skin and draw blood but he did not make contact with the other incidents. His adopter also reported hard barking and lunging at strangers on walks. Medically, Shiloh is apparently healthy.

Ruby
|
Ruby is at risk for behavior reasons. Ruby is a sweet and social, young dog. When being removed and returned to her kennel, she bites the leash intensely, climbing up to handler's hands. When off leash in the yard, she engages in play and leans into pets. We have found using toys and a metal leash help manage this behavior however, she is deteriorating in care. She has done well greeting other dogs. Medically, she is currently on EN diet due to having diarrhea in care. She is underweight with stage II periodontal disease.

Reese'S Puffs
|
Reese's Puffs is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Reese's Puffs is deteriorating during his stay in care despite efforts to keep him comfortable. He has been seen spinning in his kennel while chasing or gnawing on his tail. He has shown social behaviors with handlers, readily accepts treats, and engages in enrichment games, but he has been observed to become reactive to other dogs during walks - hard bark, lunging, and pulls towards them. On one occasion, Reese nipped a handler when they tripped and then began leash biting as he is walked back to his kennel. Medically, Reeses Puffs has CIRDC, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and ear infection, is under weight, and is cryptorchid.

|
Stella is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Stella in care has displayed a high level of fear towards unfamiliar staff and is reactive on leash to other dogs while being walked, making it difficult to walk her safely in the care center. Stella has also began to leash bite with staff members on walks, also making it difficult to walk her safely. Medically, Stella is currently healthy.

Tilly in care has displayed a high level of sensitivity around her neck area, and is generally fearful of touch in certain areas making it difficult to do a handling assessment on her, and consistently tenses with any form of touch during her time in the care center. |
Yogi is on the at risk list due to behavior concerns. Yogi has not acclimated well to the shelter environment despite best efforts to keep him comfortable. Yogi is intensely shutdown, shaking/trembling at the back of his kennel, trying to hide and growling/lip curling at handlers in attempts to interact with him. Due to stress in shelter, Yogi is reported to not be eating regularly. In addition medically, Yogi has an ocular adnormality that might be causing impaired vision but we are unable to assess further due to high stress in shelter. Yogi also has dental disease, is obese, and has senior dog dermal masses.

|
Sprite is on the at-risk list due behavior concerns due to deterioration. Despite attempts to keep her comfortable, she has begun to thrash and leash bite on walks and growls and hard barks at other dogs. Sprite has also displayed some moderate resource guarding, hovering and body-blocking her toy. She was initially fearful of staff, but has become more social over time. Medically, she is apparently healthy.

Louie Lou is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns in care. While he often presents as loose and wiggly frame he will become quickly become tense and inconsistent with his behaviors display behaviors such as becoming stiff, lip licking, and showing a tense body with a high tail in response to noise, movement, or changes in his environment. Though he can engage neutrally on walks and during play sessions, Louie Lou's inconsistent responses and moments of tension highlight the need for a structured environment. Medically, Louie Lou is receiving treatment for CIRDC.

Chase is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Chase has high kennel stress and deterioration in care. He frequently jumps on his kennel door, pants heavily, salivates, and has exhibited kennel-fighting behaviors. On walks, Chase pulls intensely, fixates on other dogs, and lunges or barks, often ignoring redirection efforts. While he occasionally seeks attention and remains soft and wiggly during interactions, his inability to self-regulate as led to him jumping on handlers, biting at clothes. Medically, Chase is currently healthy.

Brownie Brittle in care displays a high level of arousal during interactions and will begin to bite her leash, being unable to refocus consistently prohibiting her from receiving a handling assessment. Brownie Brittle is social with staff and has began to warm up to handlers, but is difficult to refocus when she becomes aroused. Medically, Brownie Brittle has a cervical mass.

Nala Bonita is intensely fearful in care, avoiding interaction from handlers, remaining low to the floor and hide under objects during interactions. Medically, Nala Bonita is apparently healthy.

|
Bella is on the at-risk list due to behavioral reasons. Bella has been observed to quickly become over aroused in the care center. She has been observed to wrap her legs around handlers and mount them. In kennel Bella has been observed to become over aroused when handlers attempt to leash her and begin snapping at their hands. Bella has made contact but has not broken skin. Currently, Bella is struggling with her reactivity towards dogs, cage fighting on her way out of the kennel room, not easily distracted and has redirected onto handlers belongs such as their treat pouch and sweater. Bella has been receptive to treats, focusing on handler on walks and will sit for treats. Medically Bella is currently healthy.

|
Marty is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Marty was brought into the care centers as a stray. Upon intake he was displayed fearful behavior, seeking exit, ears back, tail tucked under, and a tense body. In the care centers he has allowed all handling but continues to seek exit and retreat when leashed, and keeps his distance from handlers. During his assessment he pancaked flat to the ground as handler attempted to collar. Marty is very food motivated and will engage with treats. Medically, Marty is being treated for CIRDC.

Coco Melon
|
Coco Melon is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Coco Melon has been observed to be hypersalivating, and spinning both in and out of kennel. She is noted to be highly dog reactive, she very intensely cage fights, spins excessively, and she attempts to reach the other dogs upon seeing them. Even while cage fighting she will spin at random intervals, as well as on his walks. Coco Melon was also observed attempting to nip a medical staff ankles as she was spinning. She has tolerated handling in the care centers and will occasionally respond to squeaker toys. Medically, Coco Melon has Hematuria.

|
France is currently at risk due to behavior concerns. At the Care Centers, France has been social with handlers and has tolerated all handling. However, he has consistently shown concerning arousal behaviors, including intense mounting, and kennel fighting when passing by other dogs. France has had multiple incidents with both volunteers and staff where he will begin to mount non-stop throughout their interaction and is un-redirectable. This behavior has presented itself in care, in the yard, in the driveway, as well as the street. He has been observed to persistently mount handlers legs, wrapping his legs around handlers legs and has to be pried off. He has remained very social with handlers during his stay and is very food motivated during training sessions. Medically, France is apparently healthy.

Hero
|
Hero is at risk due due to behavior concerns. Hero is known to show high reactivity toward other dogs and difficulty managing arousal in high-stimulus environments. He frequently lunges, barks, jumps, and pulls hard on the leash when near other dogs or passing kennels, attempting to grab other dogs' paws. While attempts to redirect him with treats or training games are sometimes effective. On one occasion each time a dog passes, Hero lunges forward, jumping high into the air with enough force to fall onto his back. The handler shortens the lead, attempting to redirect him, but Hero head whips toward the handler before turning back to watch the other dog. Medically, Hero is underweight.

Tomas is on the at-risk list for medical concerns - Tomas is a young cat with notable tremors during handling. He has high FAS in shelter and does not allow much medical handling so we are unable to start on oral medication. Recommend neurology consultation with placement.
