Blue Bunny is leashed, but it is loose on his neck and he begins to push the door open, and as the door is opened he pushes his face out and grabs the handlers knee, pulling back there pants leg as the handler closes the door immediately and ducks out of the leash. He will approach the front when the door is opened and is leashed with ease. He will remain tense as he pulls mildly to the office and is fitted with a collar as he eats spray cheese off the couch. His assessment is not able to be completed as he will become uncomfortable when the assessor touches him. He is then returned to his kennel where he will stop, stiffen, and whale eye as the handler attempts to lure him in with treats and when he does not take them, to use slight leash pressure to get him in. He will plant and back up so the handler will take him back to the office to get high value food. The assessor will walk with them to the kennel and they attempt to slowly lure him into the kennel with food but eventually they end up strongarming him in as he is no longer eating the food. He is secured safely.

Potential challenges: : Fearful/potential for defensive aggression,Anxiety,Low threshold for arousal

Potential challenges comments:: Anxiety: Blue Bunny is noted to not want to go back inot kennel after walks. He is also noted to become timid and display lip licking behavior and a stiff body.Training should focus on slow, predictable interactions and reinforcing calm engagement to help him build confidence and reduce startle-based reactions. Please see the handout on generalized anxiety. Low threshold for arousal/Fearful/potential for defensive aggression: Blue Bunny is reported to grab at an ACS's pant leg, and had to be double roped to be brought back to kennel.Training should focus on slow, low-pressure interactions, structured and predictable kennel routines, and reinforcing calm behavior during leashing to reduce escalation and improve safety. Please see the handout on arousal and Fearful/potential for defensive aggression.
