Details on my behavior are...
Behavior Condition: 4. Orange
KNOWN HISTORY:: Edgard was brought in with limited information on his behavior history in a home environment.
ACTIVITY LEVEL:: Laid back
VOCAL:: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: : Calm,Curious,Timid,Skittish,Independent
POTENTIAL CHALLENGES:: New home adjustment period
BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: : New Hope Only
BEHAVIOR SUMMARY:: Edgard was resting with her head high inside the den when approached, appearing alert with neutral eyes and ears erect and forward. She remained in place when the scratcher tool was used, but then began to low growl and swat at the tool, lifting her front arm during the attempt to pet. The assessment was ended to reduce stress. Edgard is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
