Cody is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns in care as well in his previous home. Cody in the care center has a difficult time during interactions settling, needing assistance from staff to help him settle but will at times become aroused and start to jump incessantly, or hump. His previous owner notes that his reactivity is significant and is difficult to refocus once he starts reacting, lunging, spinning and vocalizing. His previous owner also notes the same arousal concerns he is displaying in care. Medically, Cody has pododermatitis and is overweight.

Thor Blues
|
Thor Blues is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Thor Blues arrived at the Care Center as a stray with no known history. Upon intake, Thor Blues was noted to be fearful and defensive; difficult to scan for microchip. With time, Thor Blues has become easy to leash for walks and treat motivated with staff. However, Thor Blues has shown concerning levels of handling sensitivity with escalation to defensive behaviors. When medical staff attempted to muzzle him for further examination, Thor Blues growled and bit a staff member, no broken skin. With familiar staff Thor Blues continues to be social, allow limited handling and understands commands such as 'sit' and 'paw'. Medically, Thor Blues has been treated for Conjunctivitis, Corneal Scarring, Corneal Ulceration, and is noted to have Dental Disease.

|
Rocky is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Rocky has been reported to resist walking, pancaking outside and immediately pulling back into the care center. He has been highly fearful on walks, pulling back toward the building once outside. In his kennel, Rocky was observed baring his teeth while growling and lunging at a handler near his kennel. Rocky is social at times but continues to struggle to settle and acclimate in the care center environment. Medically, Rocky is apparently healthy.

Missy
|
Missy is at risk due to behavior concerns. She arrived at the care centers as a stray with little known history. During intake she allowed all handling but had a tense body, was trembling, and remained frozen for her exam. Throughout her stay she warmed up to some staff, but has been observed to become tense when pet, will growl at handlers, and is rope reactive. Missy has been displaying signs of deterioration both in and out of kennel. On her walks she is often reported to be scrambling and pulling very hard back to care centers, sometimes even sprinting into kennel. She has a hard time settling and will usually remain hypervigilant on her walks. On one occasion, even escalated to mounting the handler. In kennel she has been reported to be difficult to leash, snapping or dodging the leash, and most recently, she was reported to lunge, while lip curling, at a familiar staff member walking past her kennel. Medically, she apparently has dermatitis.

Remy
|
Remy is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Remy has been displaying high levels of kennel stress in the care center, repeatedly pawing at her kennel door with enough force to move the panels and walls despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. Remy will slam at her kennel door, resisting re-entry, and bolting out when handlers attempt to close the door. Staff have also reported nipping during leashing and instances of heavy panting, dilated pupils, and pulling or crawling away from her kennel. She Medically, Remy is apparently healthy.

Zoe
|
Zoe is at risk due to behavioral reasons. Zoe was recently returned to the shelter due to two separate bite incidents. The first bite incident occurred when Zoe became over aroused while playing. Zoe began mouthing with hard pressure, she then approached the owner and bit them on the forearm. This bite was a bite and hold that resulted in two puncture wounds. The second bite incident was towards the resident dog. Zoe had broken down the baby gate and bit the resident dog on the neck. The resident dog had puncture wounds and scratches on them. During her stay in the care center Zoe has been observed to have a low threshold for arousal and be dog reactive. During her assessment Zoe was observed to become aroused and began mouthing both the handlers arms and head whipping with an open mouth back and forth. Zoe is also observed to hard bark, lunge, and charge the fence when seeing another dog. Medically Zoe is apparently healthy.

Tails is at risk for behavior reasons. Tails becomes easily over aroused, jumping up, mouthing and biting the leash. He is a large, strong dog and can be difficult to interrupt in this aroused state. Medically, he is a healthy dog.

Sneakers has been diagnosed with kidney disease and will need to follow up with a veterinarian for a long-term care plan. He is also underweight and has significant dental disease. He is very fearful in shelter and needs placement in a low stress environment.

|
Fluffy is on the at-risk list for medical and behavior. Fluffy is a geriatric cat with constipation and poor appetite. He has lost a significant amount of weight since entering the shelter and has to be sedated for examinations. He has had feces manually removed twice in shelter and will need continued care with placement. Behaviorally, he does not allow medical handling and has to be sedated for exams/treatments.

|
Marigold is at risk due to behavioral concerns. Marigold arrived at the Care Center as a stray with no known history. Upon intake, Marigold was noted to have a loose body and allow handling. Despite efforts to keep Marigold comfortable, she is showing concerning signs of low-threshold for arousal. Marigold is noted to be consistently attempting to mount handlers making it difficult to handler her safely. Attempts to use treats and toys to redirect her have not been effective. Marigold at times has also been noted to become mouthy and jump up towards handlers' faces with an open mouth. With staff, Marigold continues to be easily leashed, enters and exits kennel without issue. Medically, Marigold is apparently healthy

Mama Bear
|
Mama Bear is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns. Mama Bear in the care center has not been acclimating despite best efforts to keep her comfortable. In her kennel, Mama Bear can be seen and heard digging at her kennel door. When handlers go to check on her, she often stops digging and begins to wag her tail. At other times, she is observed panting while standing on the door and continuing to dig, and she begins barking when she sees handlers approach. She has also been noted scaling her kennel walls and panting heavily when approached. During her stay, she has begun to kennel fight when exiting her kennel and has become reactive towards dogs while on walks. Mama Bear is social with staff but continues to struggle to settle and acclimate in the care center environment. Medically, Mama Bear is apparently healthy.

Truce
|
Truce is on the at-risk list due to behavior concerns displayed in his previous home and in care. Truce was returned after displaying aggression toward other dogs. During an introduction with another dog, Truce put his paws around the other dog and attempted to attack and lunge toward the dog’s neck. The previous owner also reported that if Truce had not been muzzled, he likely would have bitten. During walks, Truce also consistently lunged toward dogs of all sizes and has shown similar behavior toward cats. In the care center, Truce continues to lunge at both large and small dogs, as well as cats, while on walks. Truce is currently working with the training staff to address these behaviors. Medically, Truce is clinically healthy.

During a recent incident at the park with his previous owner, when Coco was pulled back she redirected and bit the child who was pulling on her collar, resulting in a small puncture, breaking skin Medically, Coco is apparently healthy.

Oden has shown high levels of stress in the care center, repeatedly jumping at his kennel door, hard barking, and panting heavily, often producing saliva at the front of his kennel. Oden is also generally fearful, growling at some staff when approached. Oden remains highly vocal and overaroused upon returning to his kennel, and struggles throughout the day in the care center. Medically, Oden has started treatment for CIRDC.

Dorito is not eating in shelter, putting her at risk of hepatic lipidosis since she is obese. Dorito would benefit from a quiet low stress environment so she feels comfortable to start eating again.
